1. Interpretation
We plan to use the Wordly App to provide interpretation for languages other than English. This will be for both in person and virtual attendance. We were pleased at how it worked at the Baptist World Congress in Brisbane and are excited as this will again allow excellent accessibility for many for whom English is not their heart language. More details will be provided closer to the time.
2. General Council Representation
- Proxies: If your organization is sending a proxy in place of a named Member Partner Global Council representative, BWA will need an official letter stating the name of the person proposed as the proxy and the representative they will be replacing at the meeting. Please send the letter before June 1, 2026, to membership@baptistworld.org.
- Virtual Participation: In keeping with our commitment to provide a hybrid model of participation as well as more equal representation at our meetings, all sessions of the General Council will be available in hybrid mode. More information on how to join the General Council meetings virtually will be available soon.
3. Program of Assistance for Travel and Hospitality (PATH)

PATH Donations
When you register, you will be given the opportunity to donate to the PATH (travel and hospitality) Fund to help facilitate the attendance of Member Partner leaders who would otherwise be unable to attend the Annual Gathering. We value the voice of all our leaders and appreciate your support of their participation in Canada. We thank you in advance for making a contribution to the PATH fund when you register online. These may also be sent to the BWA Office, Attn: Finance Department (405 N Washington St, Falls Church, VA 22046 USA).

PATH Scholarship Requests
PATH scholarships for 2026 are limited. Normally, applicants must ensure that the BWA Member Partner they represent has made at least one contribution to the BWA since January 2021. All PATH scholarship applications also require endorsement from the relevant Member Partner. Please secure this endorsement and the assurance of a recent contribution before contacting the BWA by March 15, 2026. Due to the limit of available funds, priority will be given to active members of a BWA Commission or the Global Council. To obtain further information, please email path@baptistworld.org.
4. More Information
