Baptist Youth World Day of Prayer on June 14The annual Baptist Youth World Day of Prayer will be observed on June 14.

Churches are encouraged to plan worship services and events that include the participation of youth and reflect the importance of youth being engaged in prayer, worship and the mission of the church.

Starting in 2014, and for the next three years, the Day of Prayer is based on the Singapore Declaration, the final communique of the 16th Baptist Youth World Conference held in Singapore in July 2013. The declaration encouraged youth to “be part of the change we desire to see in this world…that is broken [and which] cries out for justice, freedom, peace, hope and love.”

The 2015 theme is “Open to God’s Mission.”

The resource guide is available online and includes five Bible studies developed from Luke 4:16-20. It is intended that these will be used not only for the Day of Prayer, but at other times during the year.

Prayer requests may be sent to [email protected].

Additional information is available on the BWA website at www.bwanet.org.
