The 2013 calendar of events for the Baptist World Alliance® (BWA) is now available online.

The BWA made a decision to forego printing and mailing the new calendar, deciding instead to produce a digitally generated program of events. The online calendar enables search by year, month, week, and categories.

Major BWA conferences and meetings occur mid-year 2013.  The 8th International conference on Theological Education will be held June 28-30 and the Annual Gathering from July 1-7, both in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. The 16th Baptist Youth World Conference will be in Singapore from July 17-21.

The other major BWA meeting for the year will be the Executive Committee meeting from March 4-6 at the international offices of the BWA in the Washington, DC, suburb of Falls Church in Northern Virginia in the United States.

There are special days of observances throughout 2013. BWA Day is on May 4 and 5 and Human Rights Day on December 7 and 8, depending on whether churches worship on Saturday or Sunday. Baptist Men’s World Day of Prayer is on April 27, Baptist Youth World Day of Prayer on June 9, and Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer on November 4.

The calendar includes major events in each of the six regions of the BWA and can be viewed here.
