Frederick P. Deegbe

Frederick P. Deegbe, a minister in the Ghana Baptist Convention, has served as the Senior Pastor of Calvary Baptist since 1991. He was the General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana from 2003-2013, and participated in the Baptist World Alliance Delegation for Theological Conversations with the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity (2006-2010).
Paul S. Fiddes

Paul S. Fiddes is Professor of Systematic Theology in the University of Oxford. He is also the Principal Emeritus of Regent’s Park College, Oxford where is now a Senior Research Fellow and directs an inter-faith project for the Study of Love in Religion. A Baptist minister since 1972, he is Ecumenical Prebendary of St Endellion (Anglican) Church in North Cornwall and Emeritus Canon of Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford.
Glenroy Lalor

Glenroy Lalor is pastor of the Bethel Baptist Church since 2018 and serves on faculty at the United Theological College of Jamaica. He is a member on the Baptist World Alliance Doctrine Commission since 2015, and has been a Member of the Standing Commission of the World Council of Churches Commission on Faith and Order since 2007.
Nora O. Lozano

Nora O. Lozano, Mexican-born, is professor of theological studies at Baptist University of the Américas. Dr. Lozano is executive director and co-founder of the Latina Leadership Institute. She served as a member of the Baptist World Alliance delegation that held theological conversations with the Catholic Church (Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity).
Tomás Mackey

Tomás Mackey was installed as Baptist World Alliance President in July 2020 and will continue his term until 2025. He served as Dean of the International Baptist Theological Seminary in Buenos Aires, Argentina, from 1993-2004, and as a professor since 1979. He is a member of the BWA delegation to the theological conversations with the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity and is a founding and current member of the Board of Directors of the Social Ecumenical Forum.

Elizabeth Newman chairs the BWA Commission for Baptist Doctrine and Christian Unity. She is Professor of Theology, Adjunct, at Duke Divinity School, and is currently a member in the Baptist dialogue with the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity.
Valérie Duval-Poujol
and Christian Unity
Valérie Duval-Poujol, who teaches at The Catholic Institute of Paris, serves as co-chair of the BWA Commission for Baptist Doctrine and Christian Unity. She is president of the ecumenical commission of the Protestant Federation of France, and was a “fraternal delegate” at the Catholic Synod on the Family in 2014.
