BWA General Council Resolution 1993.3
The General Council of the Baptist World Alliance, meeting in. Harare, Zimbabwe August 6-9, 1993,
GIVES THANKS TO GOD for the life and witness of Martin Luther King Jr. in this 125th anniversary year of his tragic and untimely death;
RECALLS his dream and his call to seek change through nonviolent action, which still serves as an effective model to all who strive for more just societies, free from war and want, fear and oppression;
CALLS UPON Baptists around the world, in celebration of this anniversary, to renew the commitment to struggle nonviolently for justice and peace.
