BWA Executive Committee Resolution 1964-08.2

The second resolution expressed appreciation for the hospitality enjoyed by the Executive Committee in Hamburg and for those who prepared and led the meeting:

Members of the Executive Committee, Study Commissions, and visitors who have been the recipients of delightful hospitality as we have met in Hamburg for our current sessions. We would enter upon our records an expression of appreciation to those who have made this possible.

The Baptist Seminary of Hamburg, with its related schools, has made us comfortable and surrounded us with the atmosphere of home on this beautiful campus. We thank Dr. Hans Luckey, the President, and members of the faculty and staff for the many courtesies extended to us. Special recognition should be made of our housemother, of Mrs. Luckey, and the ladies assisting her as they have provided delicious food and refreshments for our enjoyment.

We would thank all of our Christian friends in Germany, and especially in Hamburg, for the welcome which we have received. May the blessing of God rest upon the witness being given in this country under the leadership of Brother Thaut and his co-workers.

Furthermore, we would record our thanks and appreciation to those who have prepared the programs and led us in our meetings. We are grateful for the leadership of President Soren and the Vice-Presidents, for Doctors Nordenhaug, Denny, Ruden, and the staffs supporting them in the Washington and London offices.

After the MOTION was put to the Committee by Duke McCall, it was carried unanimously.
