BWA General Council Resolution 2006.1

The General Council of the Baptist World Alliance, meeting in Mexico City, July 3-8, 2006:

Offers sincere thanks to the Mexico Baptist Convention for the invitation to hold this Annual Gathering in this wonderful city.

Expresses gratitude to Gilberto Gutierrez, president of the Mexico Baptist Convention, and all the Mexican Baptist churches for their efforts in making this meeting possible and for the warm hospitality extended to the Baptist representatives from around the world.

Commits to pray for Mexican Baptists and the nation of Mexico during this critical period of its history.

Thanks the Implementation Task Force and the BWA staff for their hard work in making this meeting as meaningful as possible for Baptists of the world and looks forward with anticipation to the next Annual Gathering in Accra, Ghana, July 2-7, 2007.
