BWA General Council Resolution 2004.1

The General Council of the Baptist World Alliance, meeting in Seoul, South Korea, July 28-31, 2004:

ANTICIPATES with joy the forthcoming Centenary Congress of the Baptist World Alliance in Birmingham, England, July 2005;

THANKS God for the many blessings experienced by the world Baptist family over the l00 years of the life and mission of the Baptist World Alliance;

RECALLS with thankfulness the visionary spirit of those Baptists who created the BWA and all the individuals who have served with distinction over the past century, especially our Presidents and General Secretaries; and,

ENCOURAGES all Baptists to plan to be in Birmingham to join in the centenary celebrations, to register for the Congress, to pray for the congress and to encourage others to anticipate this event with eagerness and hope in our God.
