The Baptist World Alliance Congress meeting in Melbourne, January 5-9, 2000

OFFERS sincere thanks to the Baptist Union of Australia and the local congregations in Melbourne and vicinity for their warm welcome and generous hospitality;

ACKNOWLEDGES the gracious welcome to Melbourne given by the President, General Superintendent and churches of the Baptist Union of Victoria;

COMMENDS Leon Norsworthy and members of the Local Arrangements Committee for success in hosting the Eighteenth Baptist World Congress and for their tireless work and servant leadership in preparation for and conduct of the Congress;

CONVEYS earnest appreciation to James Scott and members of the Congress Program Committee for their painstaking labor that resulted in preparation for and conduct of the Congress;

EXPRESSES profound gratitude and loving thanks to its President, General Secretary, staff members, leaders of divisions, departments, committees, commissions and others whose labor behind the scenes has contributed to the successful conduct of this Congress and the work of the Alliance during the quinquennium just completed.
