We are excited to collaborate with Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM), North American Baptist Fellowship, and Tyndale University to offer a wonderful experience as we gather as global Baptists from July 6-10, 2026, in Toronto, Canada, for the 2026 BWA Annual Gathering.
This is an opportunity for everyone from across our Baptist family to meet as Commissions, Networks, and Regions and for the inaugural Global Council as we start to see the working out of our new structure.
We will worship, pray, learn, plan, share meals, encourage one another, and then rededicate ourselves to pursuing God’s mission as a global Baptist family. All ages and backgrounds are invited to come together so we may hear and learn from each other. Through this time, we want to encourage and support one another, build our friendships across nations, cultures, and languages and express our solidarity in Jesus Christ who unites us all.
The Table of Christ: One Gospel, Many People
At Christ’s table, we are held together, formed together, and sent together as neighbors into every nation. As we convene for the 2026 BWA Annual Gathering in Toronto, we will be meeting in one of the most multicultural cities in the world where more than half of the population was born outside of Canada. Each morning will begin in intercession as we pray with one another and for the peoples of the world. Daily worship will include a biblical challenge that uses the theme of God’s table as a place where the Spirit moves, discipleship deepens, and where we are sent to embody a mission of hospitality to all people in all neighborhoods and nations.
At a time marked by isolation, polarization, resurgent violence, and displacement, throughout the Annual Gathering there will be stories of how BWA Baptists are living as intentional intercultural neighbors. Breakout sessions will explore intercultural ministry that brings together people from different cultural, ethnic, linguistic, and racial backgrounds to worship, grow, and serve together around Christ’s table as one body. As we engage as Many People in One Gospel around the Table of Christ there is mutual transformation, shared leadership, genuine community, unity in diversity, and Kingdom-oriented mission that commissions us into every neighborhood and to every nation.
