BWA General Council Resolution 1986.1

The BWA General Council welcomes the report of the Youth Executive Committee on the value of the Asian Youth Leadership Training Conference in Singapore last week.

With them we thank God for the enthusiasm and commitment of the youth leaders who shared in this cross- cultural experience. We also acknowledge the support of those Unions and Conventions which made it possible for so many to attend.

We urge all our member bodies:

(a) to review and renew their programs of youth ministry;

(b) to stress the importance of training leaders to meet the needs of young people today;

(c) to accept the task of winning and discipling the new generation of young people for Christ.

In this way we reaffirm the resolution approved by the General Council in Berlin in 1984.
