The General Council of the Baptist World Alliance, meeting in Seoul, South Korea, July 28-31, 2004:

REAFFIRMS its strong conviction that salvation is offered to the world through Jesus Christ alone by means of his life, death and resurrection and continuing mission;

EMPHASISES the crucial importance of personal conversion through the work of the Holy Spirit issuing in repentance, faith in Christ as saviour, baptism, incorporation into the church and the life of discipleship;

WELCOMES the BWA strategy for evangelism and leadership for the years 2005–2010 under the heading of “Christ the Living Water” and anticipates with joy the blessing that will come from the Living Water Conferences which will be held all over the world during the next quinquennium;

CALLS UPON all Baptists to support and participate in this strategy in ways appropriate to their contexts and opportunities; and

PRAYS for the increase of the church of God throughout the world and the addition to the church daily of those who are being saved (Acts 2:47).
