You are invited to come to the Congress to:

  • Celebrate Jesus Christ, the Door;
  • Worship God with Baptists from around the world in a variety of styles;
  • Fellowship with thousands of congress participants and give expression to our unity as Baptist Christians;
  • Share the Good News with people who need to know the God who opens a door to abundant life through Jesus Christ;
  • Seek justice as, together, we join in the struggle for human rights and religious liberty, and seek ways of helping those in need, never forgetting how unjust structures help undermine human dignity;
  • Be moved by meeting new friends from around the world and discussing partnership possibilities to serve God’s mission;
  • Explore what new call and challenge the Spirit of God may make clear to you;
  • Share the intuitive presence of the Spirit of God through the performing and creative arts.
 

The Congress program begins on the evening of Wednesday, July 22, 2015and officially concludes at noon on Sunday, July 26, 2015with Bible study and worship.

The program includes:

  • Inspirational evening plenary sessions – a time to celebrate God’s love. Join in and sing songs from around the world and let musical offerings presented by singers drawn from our worldwide Baptist family enrich your soul. Hear moving testimonies and inspired preaching. Join in and celebrate Jesus Christ, the Door.
  • Morning Bible Study opportunity. Groups are arranged on a language basis. This is a time for in-depth study of the Scriptures and for sharing a variety of perspectives through enriching discussions.
  • Afternoon Seminars and Workshops and fringe festivals feature several streams focusing on:
    • Worship and Christian Fellowship
    • Mission and Evangelism
    • Freedom & Justice
    • Aid and Development

There will also be a Pastors’ stream, a Children’s program for those under 11 years old, and a Youth track.

  • Congress Arts Program, including dynamic concerts featuring rich, varied musical talent from the world family; creative drama, art exhibition, and visual displays.
  • A dedicated Prayer Room offers a comfortable space for silence and reflection in the midst of the bustling congress program.
