BWA General Council Resolution 2009.3

The General Council of the Baptist World Alliance, meeting in Ede, the Netherlands, July 27- August 1, 2009;

Gives thanks to God for the impact of the ‘Living Water’ conferences on evangelism and leadership development in regional and national Baptist bodies;

Rejoices in the effects of the conferences already held in 13 countries, and calls for prayer support for the five further conferences planned before the end of this quinquennium, with a concluding ‘Living Water’ celebration to be held in Hawaii in July 2010;

Appreciates the leadership of Tony Cupit, Fausto Vasconcelos and other Baptist leaders in this process;

Trusts that, beyond 2010, BWA members will build in various ways on the momentum already generated by the ‘Living Water’ initiative.
