BWA General Council Resolution 2004.6

The General Council of the Baptist World Alliance, meeting in Seoul, South Korea, July 28-31, 2004:

NOTES with appreciation the work of Korean Baptists in hosting this 2004 meeting of the General Council of the Baptist World Alliance;

OFFERS sincere thanks to the Baptist Convention of South Korea, its President, C. Y. Choi and General Secretary, S. S. Hong for their invitation to meet in Seoul;

EXPRESSES gratitude to David Hahn, chair of the local arrangements committee and the other members, for their warm hospitality in hosting the General Council;

APPRECIATES the hospitality shown by the Metropolitan City of Seoul;

REJOICES in the contribution to General Council worship made by the FEBC Children’s Choir and other musicians; and,

COMMENDS President Billy Kim, General Secretary Denton Lotz and the BWA Staff for making the General Council meeting a success.

(FALLS CHURCH, VIRGINIA, USA – March 25, 2022) In conjunction with its Executive Committee meetings conducted this month, the Baptist World Alliance (BWA) Executive Committee has released a joint statement in response to the crisis in Eastern Europe. This is the first statement of its kind released by the Executive Committee in over 40 years.
